Tivat Invests 150,000 Euros in Sports Infrastructure

The coastal municipality has renovated five sports facilities across the city, including a children's playground on the seafront, with a total investment of €150,000 from the local budget.

Tivat, Montenegro – July 9, 2026: The coastal municipality of Tivat has completed a significant investment in its sports and recreational infrastructure, allocating €150,000 from the local budget to renovate five sports facilities across the city. The project, which has been carried out over recent months, reflects the municipality's commitment to improving public spaces for residents and visitors alike.

The renovations have covered two facilities in the Seljanovo district, two in the city centre, and one in the Lepetane area. In Lepetane, the project also included the renovation of a children's playground located directly on the seafront. According to municipal officials, the playground has been modernised to make it safer, more functional, and better suited to the needs of the youngest visitors.

The investment is part of a broader effort to enhance the quality of life in Tivat, a town that has seen steady population growth and increasing tourist numbers in recent years. The municipality has emphasised that the project aims not only to improve conditions for sports and recreation but also to create a more welcoming and secure environment for families, young people, and the wider community.

Local residents have welcomed the renovations, noting the importance of accessible public facilities in a town where outdoor activities are a key part of daily life. The seafront playground in Lepetane, in particular, has been praised as a welcome addition to the area's amenities.

Tivat, known for its marina and its position on the Bay of Kotor, has been investing steadily in public infrastructure as part of its development strategy. This latest project, while modest in scale, underscores a broader commitment to ensuring that the town's growth benefits all residents, not just visitors.
